Hiring: Data Center Technician | Phoenix, AZ

If you have experience across data centers, fiber infrastructure, and networking and want a role where you’re doing more than just sitting behind a screen, this is a great opportunity. We’re looking for a Data Center Technician to support a rapidly growing fiber network throughout the Phoenix, AZ market. This position combines hands-on field work with network troubleshooting, fiber documentation, GIS/network mapping, and data center infrastructure support.

Phoenix, AZ | On-site

$36/hour

6-month contract-to-hire

Company vehicle, tools, and mobile phone provided

What you’ll be doing:

Troubleshooting fiber outages and identifying fiber breaks

Performing OTDR testing and supporting outage response

Working with NOC, engineering, and field operations teams

Racking and stacking equipment within data center environments

Documenting fiber routes, rack layouts, and equipment locations

Maintaining GIS/network maps and infrastructure documentation

Visiting data centers, vaults, and other network facilities

Supporting new network deployments and expansion projects

What we’re looking for:

4+ years of data center, telecom, fiber, or network infrastructure experience

Fiber troubleshooting and OTDR experience

Experience working with a NOC

Data center racking and stacking experience

Knowledge of switches, routers, and network connectivity

GIS, network mapping, or infrastructure documentation experience

Ability to work independently and communicate across multiple teams

Huge plus if you have experience with IQGeo, OSP fiber, fiber splicing, Juniper, coax, or data center design.
