Nighthawk's flexibility and expertise across the cybersecurity field provides customized solutions to our customer's unique needs.The Data Center Technician I provides entry-level operational and technical support for the Datacenter Operations Center (DOC) within the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Information Management and Technology (OIMT). This position supports the 24x7x365 monitoring and operation of the Albuquerque Data Center (ADC), a commercially owned, government-operated Tier III data center, ensuring the availability and reliability of enterprise infrastructure systems.The technician assists with monitoring infrastructure systems, performing routine operational checks, supporting equipment installation, and responding to operational alerts under the guidance of senior staff.ResponsibilitiesMonitor data center infrastructure systems including power, cooling, environmental controls, and network connectivity using enterprise monitoring toolsAssist with maintaining inventory of hardware, software, and infrastructure components within the data center environmentPerform routine inspections and operational checks to ensure proper functioning of systems and equipmentSupport installation, removal, and replacement of hardware components such as servers, racks, cabling, and peripheral devicesAssist with cable management and basic rack-and-stack activities following established data center standardsDocument operational activities, incidents, and maintenance actions in accordance with OIMT proceduresSupport break/fix activities and coordinate with senior technicians or administrators to resolve infrastructure issuesFollow established access control, physical security, and safety procedures within the data center environmentProvide support for configuration management and asset tracking processesEscalate system alerts, anomalies, or operational issues to senior staff for further investigationQualificationsMust possess exceptional customer service skillsMust have ability to contribute in writing to team documentation, activities and processesAbility to perform work tasks with guidanceAttention to detailMinimum Qualifications:Associates Degree or combination of education and experienceMinimum of 6 months of related technical experience in supporting Information Technology environment and a managed computer room, facility or datacenterSupport would include (but not limited to) administration and configuration of datacenter infrastructure and support management systemsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with data center monitoring tools or IT infrastructure management systemsExperience working in enterprise IT or government environmentsIndustry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similarPay and Benefits: At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
