This is a hands-on technical role focused on server hardware troubleshooting, installations, repairs, and data center operations.You will act as a frontline resolver, responsible for diagnosing hardware issues, performing repairs, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting uptime in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesHardware & Server SupportDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve server hardware issues (CPU, memory, storage, power components)Perform hardware replacements, upgrades, and system repairsExecute system builds, installations, and decommissionsConduct root cause analysis (RCA) on failures to prevent recurrencePerform testing using diagnostic tools and validation systemsData Center OperationsInstall, rack, stack, and cable servers and networking equipmentSupport high-severity (priority) incidents to minimize downtimeMaintain uptime and reliability through timely resolution of support ticketsFollow strict SOPs, escalation procedures, and safety protocolsInventory & Asset ManagementReceive, track, and manage hardware inventory and spare partsMaintain accurate records in WMS/ticketing systemsHandle secure media and ensure compliance with data destruction policiesParticipate in audits of hardware and storage assetsTroubleshoot basic network connectivity issues (TCP/IP, cabling, ports)Install and configure networking equipment (switches, routers, patch panels)Support system upgrades, firmware updates, and OS-level tasks (Linux basics)Documentation & ReportingDocument troubleshooting steps, repairs, and resolutions in ticketing systemsMaintain detailed service logs and asset updatesTrack performance against ticket queues and SLAsCollaborate with Network Engineers, SREs, and Infrastructure teamsEscalate complex issues appropriatelyParticipate in team meetings, KPI reviews, and continuous improvement effortsCompliance & SafetyFollow all data center security protocols (restricted access, screenings)Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standardsMaintain a clean, organized work environmentBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ year experience with:Server/computer hardware (builds, repairs, components)Basic networking (TCP/IP fundamentals)Hands-on experience with:Hardware troubleshooting and replacementDiagnostic tools and testing equipmentBasic knowledge of Linux/Unix command lineExperience working with ticketing or documentation systemsStrong communication skills and team collaborationAbility to follow SOPs and adapt to feedback in a structured environmentPreferred QualificationsCompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certificationsExperience in data center, IT support, or field technician rolesFamiliarity with:Data center infrastructure (power, cooling systems)Enterprise tools or monitoring systems (e.g., Nitro, Boost, etc.)Experience working in high-availability or SLA-driven environmentsPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to lift up to 40 lbsStand/walk for extended periodsComfortable working in:Variable temperaturesNoisy server environmentsDust/airborne particlesAbility to climb ladders and work at heightMust pass daily security screening (metal detectors)Performance Metrics (KPI)Ticket resolution time and queue managementAccuracy of repairs and documentationTeam collaboration and communicationAdherence to SOPs and safety standardsIdeal Candidate ProfileWe are targeting candidates who are:Hands-on and comfortable working with hardware dailyExperienced in break/fix, field technician, or data center environmentsAble to work in fast-paced, physically active rolesDetail-oriented with strong documentation habitsComfortable working shifts (including nights)
