This opportunity provides a career-growth minded role with exciting projects with leading-edge technology and innovation as well as competitive salaries and benefits.A highly skilled Data Center Systems Technician will focuses on the operation, preventive maintenance and monitoring and support of critical infrastructure - eg: high-density server cabinets, environmental and EPMS (Electrical and Power Monitoring Systems), electrical distribution, BAS Systems (Building Automation Systems), or BMS System (Building Monitor Systems) and control systems. NOC Tech will as provide support for colo customers for IT hardware via Remote Hands Services.Responsibilities:Apply knowledge on controls and building automation systems platforms such as Electrical and Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), or Building Monitor Systems (BMS) in a data center environment - testing and operationsProvide emergency support when needed on critical controls systems onsiteMonitor, maintain, and act as incident first-response for liquid cooling cabinet system to ensure optimal thermal managementManage, run diagnostics, and troubleshoot infrastructure monitoring systems to maximize system uptime and visibility and ensure SLAs are maintainedPerform Remote Hands / Smart Hands services for tenants using exceptional customer service skills, including racking, cabling, hardware diagnostics on compute and network equipmentConduct routine facility rounds and respond to emergency infrastructure alerts during the night shiftProvide support for the facility team during maintenance activities and incident responseOperate software to allow for the site infrastructure equipment and systems to perform without error in obtain maximum up timeTroubleshoot system errors and conflicts within the software and operating systemsAdhere to and review existing facility operating procedures (MOPs, SOPs, EOPs) and participate in defining and refining new ones as it pertains to control processesMonitor contractors and vendors for procedural, safety, environmental, risk mitigation and "stop work" process compliance with established SOPs and PoliciesCommunicate effectively and provide team with updates to mitigate risk, safe operations and shift coordinationUphold our high standards of excellence in facility operation and appearance as well as respectful interpersonal conduct with colleagues and customers alikeMonitoring fire detection and suppression systems, battery monitoring along local area network (LAN) mapping and records keepingRepair and Troubleshoot controls systems and hardware (relays, controllers, etc.)Possess working knowledge on data center unique access systems and CCTV systemsAssist with the integration of a new computerized maintenance management tool (CMMS) for all software and hardware systems along with all datacenter infrastructure systemsOversee all change management and controls system upgrades while maintaining 100% uptime on all existing equipmentDirect and monitor subcontractors (onsite and offsite) including scheduling, resource management and coordination of design, construction and start-up services as needed. Construction trades generally include various electrical, mechanical and equipment suppliersInstall, coordinate, and wire BMS / HVAC controllers and field devices including low voltage cable terminationsTroubleshoot BAS systems including corrective actions and discuss with technical support problems related to maintenance or operation of equipmentCollect data and performs datacenter rounds and system readingsDevelop process documentation and training materialsInstall and wire BAS controllers and field devices including low voltage cable terminationsExecute troubleshooting of BAS systems including corrective actionsPerform QA / QC of BAS and integrated systems using BAS software toolsQualifications:Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceCritical Facilities / Data Center infrastructure operations and management software experienceWorking knowledge of Networking, routing and switching protocol, and networking equipment such as Cisco, Moxa, Ubiquity, etc / communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, and BACnet and the ability to resolve network and hardware problems in a timely mannerAbility to monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement and optimizationTroubleshoot to resolve or identify an equipment malfunction or failureCertification or relevant experience in cybersecurity principles and best-practicesAbility to implement, document, and maintain network hardware and network securityExperience installing and troubleshooting low-voltage control system wiringHands-on experience with one or more building automation / industrial control systems ( Honeywell, Alerton, Distech Controls, Tridium Niagara N4, Allen-Bradley, StruxWare etc)Preferably 2-5+ years experience with DCIM, Electrical and Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), or Building Monitor Systems (BMS)PLC / ALC ExperienceExperience and proficiency using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Process and procedure development experience (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, etc)Ability to follow company and site safety requirements, comply with OSHA standardsAnalyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondenceCandidate must be willing to cover nights & weekends when necessary (rotational shift work day shifts and night shifts)MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)Previous experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.)Requires excellent verbal, written communication skills & customer relation skillsAbility to work independently and resourceful with good initiativesAbility to successfully work independently; Self Starter and should prioritize wellProactive, resourceful, delegator and a multitaskerExceptional organizational skills with an attention to detailPhysical ability to lift 50 lbs if needed
