Meta is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Engineer to become part of our Design Engineering and Construction Operations Engineering team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates and our innovative services are delivered. The Operations Engineering team delivers proactive and responsive full-life-cycle engineering expertise to the teams who operate and support our expanding global fleet of data centers.DCIM Engineers are involved in all aspects of data center operations, essential to ensuring effective performance, sequenced system operations, monitoring feedback and analysis. They provide direct support to our field teams for new construction, site specific projects and global level programmatic efforts.The establishment of new regions in the US, Europe, and Asia are important next steps in the evolution of Meta's infrastructure expansion.Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Engineer Responsibilities:Lead technically complex DCIM engineering projects for the facilities infrastructure operations team. This includes working cross functionally with other technical organizations including design teams, construction, field operations, vendors and R&DEngineering point of escalation for DCIM system issues that occur in our data centersTroubleshoot and engineer enhancements and corrective actions for designs and implementation processes/methodsConduct detailed analyses and audits of DCIM system utilizationDevelop effective measurements and reports from BuildingManagement System (BMS) and other monitoring systems to optimize performance and reliabilityEvaluate systems to perform effective and efficient load management and capacity planning. Monitor, trend, and develop engineering metrics and statistical data for strategic planningReview new and retrofit DCIM designs, commissioning plans, and critical operational proceduresReview DCIM \"as-built\" technical documentation and verify its accuracy. Investigate actual site conditions and update recordsDevelop and generate specifications, RFPs, ROMs, and SOWs for projectsEvaluate facility processes and industry best practices to drive efficiencies and effectivenessRoutinely report and present to peers, partners and leadershipUp to 30% travel to data center and vendor sites for engineering studies, on-site technical support, DCIM systems audits, startup testing, and full commissioningMinimum Qualifications:4+ years professional experience in data center engineering, mission critical design, construction, operations, maintenance or related industry4+ years of experience in two or more of the following areas: (1) Electrical Power Monitoring System implementation and support, (2)Data Center Infrastructure Management evaluation, implementation, and support, (3) Building Management System implementation and supportAbility to research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve system issues within disciplineExperience clearly communicating technical issuesExperience delivering presentations, managing projects, and producing technical reports for stakeholdersExperience with computer based mathematical analysis and data analysisExperience driving complex projects under pressureAbility to work independently and as a member of a cross functional teamPreferred Qualifications:Experience in mission critical facility design, construction, operations, and maintenanceDemonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Cross-discipline knowledge of multiple critical facility systemsAbout Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
