Insight Global is seeking a Senior Engineer, Data Centre & Cloud Services to support the design, delivery, and ongoing operation of technology infrastructure across new and existing enterprise facilities.

This role will lead infrastructure delivery for environments such as distribution centres, warehouses, retail locations, and other large-scale facilities. The Senior Engineer will partner with internal technology teams, consultants, contractors, trades, and vendors to ensure infrastructure is properly designed, implemented, tested, documented, and transitioned into operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead infrastructure planning and delivery for new builds, renovations, and existing facilities.
• Support the design and implementation of structured cabling, fibre, wireless, networking, server/equipment rooms, and telecommunications spaces.
• Coordinate requirements across compute, storage, networking, cloud, power, cooling, monitoring, access, and resiliency.
• Review construction drawings and support RFIs, site instructions, design changes, commissioning, and issue resolution.
• Plan and support on-premises and cloud infrastructure including servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Manage vendors, contractors, project risks, schedules, budgets, documentation, and operational handover.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support monitoring, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and incident response.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, data centre operations, cloud infrastructure, technology facilities, or infrastructure project delivery.
• Experience delivering technology infrastructure in warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing, retail, or large-scale construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fibre, low-voltage infrastructure, MDFs/IDFs, networking, and telecommunications.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, RFIs, and site instructions.
• Strong understanding of servers, storage, virtualization, networking, cloud, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of server-room power, UPS, cooling, rack design, environmental monitoring, and physical access controls.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder-management skills.
