Candidates must be able to work onsite 5 days a week.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of utility electrical distribution systems in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.Experience in electrical infrastructure.Preferred qualifications:Master's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant field or a professional engineering license or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.Experience in estimating, electrical design, operation, and commissioning of substations, switchgear, Alternative Transients Program (ATP)/Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), emergency power systems and their control systems, power monitoring, and electrical protection.Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of high voltage substations, medium or low voltage electrical distribution systems, AC/DC systems, and associated power management or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) tools.Experience working with data center equipment and environments (e.g., switchgear, generators, transformers, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems), with a strong understanding of start up/commissioning processes.Experience with cross-discipline teams (e.g., structural, civil, IT/Telecom, security, mechanical, architectural).Experience with medium voltage systems.Our thirst for technology is a part of everything we do.

Along with a team of great minds, you take on complex topics like how we use power or how to run state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly facilities. You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.
With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical).As a Data Center Services Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the field-level implementation and operational support of Google's rapidly expanding data centers. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of Electrical distribution systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, swiftly, and with high quality. You will manage site-level electrical engineering issues, ensuring compliance with design standards and local regulations, supporting quality assurance, and providing technical guidance to vendor teams.
You will be a strong communicator and collaborator who grows on construction sites and has experience with mechanical systems, ideally within mission-critical facilities, heavy industrial, oil and gas, or semiconductor industries.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
