Data Center Architect/Network ArchitectLocation: New Jersey (onsite)Duration: FulltimeJob Description:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Architect to join our team and take responsibility for designing and implementing robust and efficient network solutions for our non-cloud infrastructure. The Network Architect will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our network infrastructure. As a Network Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and develop comprehensive network designs.
Your expertise in network protocols, hardware, and infrastructure will be instrumental in delivering high-performance networks that meet the organization's current and future requirements.What You'll DoDesign and implement network architectures for non-cloud infrastructure, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements.Analyze business needs and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for network infrastructure projects.Develop detailed network design specifications and documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and implementation plans.Evaluate and select appropriate network hardware, software, and protocols based on the organization's needs and industry best practices.Configure and optimize network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure efficient and secure network operations.Collaborate with the operations team to oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment and software.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and security vulnerabilities.Conduct regular network performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure optimal network performance and availability.Stay up to date with emerging network technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's network infrastructure.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other IT systems and applications.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and administrators.Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and select network-related products and services.Expertise You'll Bring:15+ years relevant experience as a Network Architect working in an enterprise environmentCCNA is required; CCNP or a similar certification is preferredProficient knowledge and configuration experience of Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies including BGP, MPLS, VPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS, 802.1x and RadiusHands on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet)Hands on experience configuring and troubleshooting ACL’s, NAT/PAT, DMZ, LAN 2 LAN IPsec/client access VPNExperience with management protocols and network performance monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, syslog, SNMP, netflow, and MRTGSuperior problem-solving and analytical skills; proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and perform effectively in a deadline driven environmentExperience generating both internal and client facing documentation and diagrams with the ability to effectively communicate such workExcellent and thorough understanding of network architecture and design concepts (LAN/WAN)Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as neededAbility to travel both domestic and abroad
