Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Architect to support a large-scale shipyard-focused program. This role centers on designing and managing enterprise-level data environments that support maintenance operations, reporting, and leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data architecture, database design, and systems integration, along with the ability to support analytics platforms and data-driven insights across complex IT ecosystems.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, develop, and maintain scalable databases for both storage and processing needsDefine and implement strategies for data warehousing, ingestion, accessibility, and long-term retentionCreate and manage data models, including defining structures, relationships, and naming standardsAssess new data sources for quality, usability, and integration compatibilityDesign enterprise data frameworks supporting maintenance metrics and operational analyticsIntegrate and normalize data across multiple systems to enable unified reporting and analysisEnsure accuracy, consistency, and security of data across platformsContribute to the development and upkeep of dashboards and visualization tools for operational metricsPerform data analysis, lifecycle planning, and evaluation of alternative technical solutionsDevelop predictive models and decision-support tools aligned with program metricsPartner with business analysts and engineering teams to implement data-centric solutionsCreate and maintain system interface diagrams across IT environmentsSupport broader data architecture needs tied to application and portfolio managementParticipate in working groups and stakeholder forums focused on metrics and system improvementsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline4–7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data managementHands-on experience with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling techniquesPreferred QualificationsGraduate degree in a related technical fieldExtensive experience (8–10+ years) in enterprise data architectureStrong background in data integration and warehousing solutionsPrior experience supporting large-scale, complex programsExperience with business intelligence platforms and data visualization toolsFamiliarity with maintenance or operations-focused data environments
