Data Architect

Optomi, in partnership with a leading global technology organization, is seeking a Data Architect / Data Engineer with deep Databricks expertise to help define and implement enterprise-scale data integration and consumption strategies. This individual will play a critical role in architecting how data is shared, accessed, and consumed across a modern data ecosystem while establishing scalable standards, governance practices, and reusable integration frameworks.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level architect who combines hands-on Databricks expertise with strong enterprise data architecture experience. This role requires someone who can drive architecture decisions, build proof-of-concepts, define best practices, and partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, governed, and future-ready data solutions.

• Deep knowledge of data governance, lineage, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Strong conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling experience.
• Experience building proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate architectural approaches.
• Experience working within modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder communication, architecture documentation, and presentation skills.
• Databricks certifications are highly preferred.

• Develop proof-of-concepts to validate solution designs and architectural recommendations.
• Produce architecture documentation, wireframes, solution diagrams, and technical guidance.
• Establish governance practices related to data quality, lineage, metadata, and security.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver scalable and reusable solutions.
• Evaluate architecture trade-offs and recommend best-fit approaches for enterprise use cases.
• Support ongoing modernization, analytics, and data platform initiatives.
