News & World Report.Job DescriptionThe Data Architect I will be responsible for designing, creating, deploying and managing ETL jobs or other custom data applications solutions. The projects will involve integrating data among EPIC, departmental repositories, research data, legacy and external repositories in the hospital's hybrid (on-premises and cloud) data environment. This position will also be responsible for the administration of data analytics systems under the ownership of the Data Discovery and Development under the Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute.Essential FunctionsDesign and implement ETL or other data integration solutions among EPIC Clarity, EPIC Clinical Data Warehouse, departmental repositories, research data, legacy and external repositories in the hospital's hybrid and unified data platform.Develops custom data and analytics solutions to collect, manage, and distribute data including database design and programming, interface design and programming, and application development and implementation.Provides application implementation monitoring and support for existing and/or new applications, technical guidance, and serve as primary resolution point for all issues regarding assigned applicationsInstalls, deploys and upgrades data analytics systems; maintains documentation, and performs routine systems administration maintenance activities.Scope client requirements and create design documentsCreate project plans and project manage solutionsDevelop and test ETL or other data integration processes; provide code review for other team membersSupport the reporting and data analytics teamWork with the Director of Data Discovery and Development to prioritize projectsConsult with Information Management staff regarding the interaction between computer software, hardware, and peripheralsRespond to all requests with high standards for customer serviceAdhere to HIPAA and JCAHO compliance standardsPerform job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and othersKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesBachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field3+ years of experience with database and data development3+ years of Object Oriented ProgrammingAdvanced knowledge of SQL – stored procedures, functions, dynamic SQL, triggers, etc.Experience with SQL Server Stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PowerBI)Ability to design, write and implement Office 365 or MS Teams applications.Microsoft Azure ExperienceAdvanced Data modeling design experience.Experience in overall data solutions (ETL, ODS, Data Marts, Cubes, and Reporting)Experience with Solution architectureAbility to work independently on complex projectWorking knowledge of Healthcare data and analytics (prefer Epic knowledge)Understanding of data integration problems, including validating and cleaning dataAbility to collaborate in iterative design process with usersExcellent communication skillsEducationBachelor's DegreePay Range$93,600.00-$154,440.00 SalaryAt Lurie Children's, we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity, reflecting individual contributions, experience, and expertise.
