About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Data Architect to design and lead the development of scalable, secure, and compliant healthcare data solutions. You’ll play a key role in shaping data architecture across Data Warehouses, Data Lakes , and interoperability platforms , ensuring seamless integration and analytics capabilities across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on expertise in HEDIS , CMS Interoperability (FHIR) , and deep knowledge of healthcare data ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure data systems to support analytics and data‑driven decisions.
- Architect and deploy interoperability solutions aligned with USCDI‑US Core compliance.
- Build and maintain logical, physical, and conceptual data models for healthcare domains (Claims, Member, Provider, EHR, etc.).
- Evaluate and recommend modern data management tools, frameworks, and platforms .
- Implement and uphold data governance policies ensuring integrity, quality, and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams — business analysts, data scientists, and IT — to align data solutions with organizational goals.
- Optimize data storage and access performance for both real‑time and historical data.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities.
- Mentor and guide team members in data management best practices.
Experience & Skills
- Deep expertise in Data Architecture, databases, and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Strong grasp of healthcare data and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CCDs, HIE, USCDI‑US Core)
- Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, PySpark, and Python
- Hands‑on experience with tools like Erwin , Azure Data Factory , Databricks , Kafka , IBM DataStage , or Informatica
- Understanding of BI and analytics platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years in Data Architecture , preferably in the healthcare domain
- 5+ years leading large‑scale healthcare data systems
- 5+ years designing interoperability solutions (FHIR, HL7, etc.)
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with major EHR systems like Epic or Cerner
