Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and modernization of enterprise Home Lending data platforms. This role will be responsible for defining the target-state architecture, cloud migration strategy, enterprise data models, governance standards, and regulatory-compliant data solutions supporting Home Lending and FR Y-14M reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Data Architecture, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Mortgage Banking, and large-scale data transformation programs within Financial Services organizations.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $130k- $140k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the target-state architecture for Home Lending data platforms.
- Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design scalable, secure, and regulatory-compliant data and integration architectures.
- Develop enterprise data models for mortgage, customer, account, property, and collateral data domains.
- Architect modern data lake, warehouse, and lakehouse solutions using GCP services.
- Establish data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality frameworks.
- Design batch, CDC, event-driven, streaming, and API-based integration solutions.
- Lead modernization and rationalization of legacy platforms including Ab Initio, SAS, and Teradata.
- Ensure compliance with FR Y-14M reporting, regulatory traceability, and audit requirements.
- Define data controls, reconciliation frameworks, and operational governance standards.
- Provide architecture leadership and technical guidance across delivery teams.
- Create architecture standards, technical design documents, and migration roadmaps.
Required Skills
- 12+ years of Data Architecture, Integration Architecture, or Solution Architecture experience.
