We are an elementary, middle school, and high school serving the students of Jackson, MS.Position OverviewThe Data and Assessments Coordinator will lead the strategic collection, analysis, and use of data to drive instructional improvement, organizational decision-making, and accountability across the school system.
This individual will oversee all student assessments, including state-mandated testing, interim benchmarks, and internal diagnostics, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and alignment with organizational goals. The Coordinator will also play a critical role in building data literacy among school leaders, teachers, and staff.Responsibilities and DutiesOversee administration and compliance for all standardized testing (state, district, and national assessments)Develop and implement a system-wide assessment calendar in collaboration with academic leadershipManage vendor relationships related to assessments and data platformsEnsure security and fidelity in testing procedures and reportingPrepares academic data reports for the Executive Director, Managing Director of Academics, School Leaders, and other stakeholders; acts as a key guide to Principals on making responsive and timely data-driven decisions with action plans to change teaching practiceDesign and maintain data dashboards, reports, and tools that inform instruction, school improvement, and strategic planningSupport with the planning and administration of title academic programmingAnalyze trends in student achievement and other key performance indicators (e.g., attendance, behavior, graduation rates)Lead the collection and reporting of data for accountability to state and federal agenciesProvide timely data insights to support real-time instructional adjustments and long-term planningTrain and support school leaders and teachers in interpreting and using data to drive decisionsProvide high-quality instructional & cultural coaching with consistent teacher observations, actionable feedback, and accountability for adjustment in practice to positively impact student learningCollaborate with instructional teams to embed data-driven practices into professional development and coachingPromote a culture of continuous improvement through actionable, user-friendly data disseminationMonitor and report on progress toward all organizational goals and accountability metricsCollaborate with other departments (e.g., Special Education, English Learners, Operations) to ensure data accuracy and complianceSupport with the planning and development of academic programming for middle and high school growthManages and coordinates the implementation of instructional technology programmingSupport with developing and maintaining curriculum pacing and mapping for ELA, mathematics, and sciencePerforms other duties assigned by the supervisor and/or school leadershipTo be a part of the Ambition Prep team, it is required that all candidates possess an unwavering commitment to Ambition Prep's mission, students, families, and community through the implementation of policies and procedures.
