Data Analyst / Tableau Developer

DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Data Analyst/Tableau Developer in Maryland Heights, MO.Overview:Our client is seeking a Data Analyst/Tableau Developer with an investigative mentality. The group ranges from junior to mid-level talent, and we're now looking to bring in a heavy hitter - someone with deep expertise, particularly in Tableau and data analytics, to set the standard.What You'll Do:* Design and develop end-to-end dashboards using Tableau, translating complex data into clear insights* Build and write custom SQL queries to support reporting needs* Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, especially around: IT system health (e.g., response time, errors, etc.); Business impact analysis of system issues on customer orders; Code quality metrics; Numerous ad hoc reporting requests* Define and implement reporting standards and best practices across the team* Act as a thought leader in data analysis, promoting curiosity, ownership, and process improvement* Present insights to stakeholders and support the storytelling behind the data* Pivot quickly to adapt to new priorities in a fast-moving environmentRequirements* Strong SQL skills - Ability to write custom queries from scratch (CTEs/window functions not required but nice)* Tableau expertise - Able to build dashboards from scratch; familiarity with Tableau Public is a plus* Analytical mindset - Investigative, curious, and proactive in problem-solving* Strong communication skills - Comfortable asking questions, presenting work, and engaging stakeholders* Accountability and independence - Ability to take ownership of projects and follow through without handholdingNice-to-Have:* Splunk experience - Especially working with SPL, creating and interpreting ad hoc reports, and dashboard views* Familiarity with IT systems or monitoring tools is a plusJob TypeContractCompensation48 - $69
