Responsible for managing the enterprise-wide model risk reporting function, the team is actively driving a strategic transformation to replace legacy reporting with an interactive, GenAI-centric reporting ecosystem.

In addition to innovating the reporting function, the team is deploying scalable, cutting-edge AI solutions—including intelligent multi-agent architectures—to eliminate repetitive manual workflows, optimize operational efficiency, and minimize human error. To accelerate this vision, the team has a vital need for forward-thinking talent eager to execute high-impact, AI-powered automation work that transforms how the enterprise visualizes and manages model risk.What you'll do:Builds and deploys scalable artificial intelligence and machine learning models to automate existing model risk management process, reporting and controlsArchitect and deploy an interactive, conversational reporting chatbot powered by AI solutionsExperiment with and develop advanced, multi-agent AI workflows designed to execute complex cognitive tasks.Optimize data integration across core systems into centralized infrastructure to create a highly accurate, audited "source of truth" for model risk metricsDrive current and future strategy by leveraging your analytical skillsAssist with building and using models to test and validate dataWork with vast amounts of data in new and evolving environmentsBe a part of growing and developing our brand in new and emerging marketsLeverage analytics to create a customer experience above our peersLead a team of talented junior analysts on an exciting professional journey while mentoring them and elevating their careersBe a part of the full life cycle of projects and see end resultsCollaborate across business unitsWork with top talent in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment where analytics and good data are a top priorityExperience real work life balance, with little travel involvedOn any given day you will be:Mining data to arrive at specific and crucial information for the organizationIdentifying and implementing process, data, and reporting improvements for the organizationWorking with large and complex databases containing millions to billions of recordsImproving operational efficiencies and effectivenessConducting analysis to evaluate processes and testsExtracting and analyzing data to gauge product offeringsConsulting on the design and implementation of new production and data storage systemsDeveloping and implementing strategic tests of products, initiatives and marketing materialsAn ideal candidate will be on the leading edge of Analytical technology with a passion for the newest and most innovative tools. This role will have a strong Business Intelligence component and those with a BI background are strongly encouraged to apply.Basic QualificationsCurrently has, or is in the process of obtaining a:Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 6 years of experience performing data analytics, orMaster's Degree plus at least 4 years of experience performing data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.At least 4 years of experience performing professional data analysis workAt least 4 years of experience performing programmingPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics disciplineAt least 7 years of professional data analysis work experienceAt least 4 years of experience with Python, R, Spark or SQLAt least 1 year of experience in people managementAt least 1 years of project management experienceAt least 1 year of experience in interactive reporting tools such as Tableau or QuicksightAt least 1 years of experience in a Model Risk Management, Risk Governance, or highly regulated financial environmentAt least 1 years of experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced AI toolsets (e.g., Claude Code, Github Copilot, Gemini, Google Workspace Studio).Proficient utilizing and developing within AWS serviceCapital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Data Analysis ManagerRichmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Data Analysis ManagerChicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Data Analysis ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
