Data AnalystPosition: Contract to HireJob DescriptionSupport organization-wide data governance activities by contributing to the oversight and protection of data assets, improving data quality, managing the protection of sensitive data, and documenting business and technical metadata.The position will focus on helping the data governance group to operate a data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices.As part of the data governance group, the individual will focus on data quality and data profiling, metadata management, database security and access, privacy, compliance, and reporting.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform data profiling, data quality and data lineage analysis and reportingSupport rollout of data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.Help define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of our division’s information assets.Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined and communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planningDevelop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems, owners.Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterpriseCollaborate with data modelers to maintain current, accurate business and technical meta data for OCIO data modelsHelp establish data quality metrics and reporting for priority data domainsCoordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the expense related to those services.QualificationsExperience using data quality tools and techniques to analyze and monitor data qualityExperience using SQL to explore data and perform root cause analysis for data quality issuesKnowledge of information lifecycle and compliance reporting for retention and archiveExperience in data governance practices, working with technical and business resources to resolve issues related to management of enterprise information assetsExperience maintaining Data Dictionary and Business Glossary informationExperience profiling and assessing data in various formats including relational databases and record filesAbility to work with business stewards, business and technical subject matter experts in areas related to data security and privacy (PHI and PII data)Experience developing Excel reports to document data retention and securityDesired SkillsHighest personal and professional integrity and work ethics.Results orientation, willingness to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion.Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, changing priorities and challenging situations.Ability to interact with business representative across all the Business and Functional areas.Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goalsYes, the HORSHAM, PA location below is correct.
