Job Title: Healthcare Data Analyst

Location: Hybrid - Honolulu, HI (2 days onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months contract-to-hire

Priority: Direct health plan / payer analytics experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with direct experience in health plan analytics to support data-driven decision-making across healthcare operations and business functions.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with a solid understanding of health plan data, healthcare business processes, and performance measurement. This individual will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze complex datasets, develop meaningful insights, and communicate findings that support operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze health plan data, including claims, membership, eligibility, utilization, and cost data.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and insights to support business decisions.
• Use SQL and BI tools to extract, validate, and interpret data.
• Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
• Communicate analytical methodologies, findings, and recommendations clearly.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Direct experience in health plan analytics or managed care.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain analytical approaches and provide concrete examples of past projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with claims, provider, membership, or medical-cost analytics.
• Exposure to Python, AI tools, or workflow automation platforms.
• Experience improving reporting efficiency through automation.
