Item Catalog Team MemberThe Item Catalog team is now responsible for US Walmart and all international markets with respect to the alignment of one global Item Data Model. The international markets will have to be on boarded as we move towards Omni 5.0.This position reports to the Senior Project Manager – Item Data Governance.Job DutiesActively participate in the Item Data Governance intake process to receive and vet the requests received for completenessOversee the backlog report to ensure all tickets are reviewed and that stakeholders are aware of the progressAnalyze, document and design data objects, data quality rules, and data quality tests to be landed and executed. Create resilient, and sustainable and Data Object Designs and Data Quality Rules.Be a product-oriented Data Analyst creating and experimenting with new ideas that will engage and excite our customersDevelop proactive KPIs and reporting.
Identify root causes and corrective actions. Develop targets to improve (TTI).Capture and document all attributes/specs and their associated rules for all markets. Deliver and maintain business dictionary and glossary.Assist with the creation of the requirements for tooling to support and manage the glossary.Collaborate internally and cross-functionally to build relationship with stakeholders to champion the Item Data Governance process.Experience /Skills RequiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.Minimum Qualifications: 1 year’s research analysts experience OR 1 year’s Data Model experience OR 1 year’s Data Standards Development experienceStrong understanding of data design techniques and principlesStrong leadership and communication skillsMust be able to work effectively both on teams as well as be self-motivated, task oriented and organized.Strong customer focus and obsession with qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced and agile development environmentAdditional RequirementsExperience in Data Design, Dimensional Modelling, Teradata, HiveQL, Hadoop HDFS, Confluence, Jira, Akodo, and Imperium, CollebraUnderstanding of data platform, architecture and Governance.Ability to structure and understand complex business rules.Experience with master data management strongly desired.Exposure to GS1 a plus.
