Job TitleSupports the production lines from within the Fab(s) with a primary focus on engaging in production activities in their assigned Workcell(s) in reducing cycle time, increasing turn rates, meeting or exceeding tool utilization and Idle with WIP targets, and providing other technical leadership to the team. This may also include dispositioning and processing lots with Process Technician assistance as required. Effectively communicates with Operators and Process Technicians on a daily basis in the resolution of related issues. Provides leadership on the line by proactively identifying production issues within the assigned team, communicating needs with Operators/peers, and helps to effectively manage the line(s) to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Interacts with supervision to ensure line issues are proactively identified, communicated, and escalated to achieve timely resolution. To ensure that coverage of the line is sustained and to balance available resources.Major Duties/ResponsibilitiesAct as a back-up to the Supervisor in helping escalate critical toolsetsAssist Supervisor in production projects as assignedServe as a mentor to OperatorsAssist in effectively managing DEFCON 3 and 4 toolsAssist in targeting 100% scheduler compliance, troubleshoot issues, & submit feedback when the expectation cannot be metMaintain T3 certificationAssist operators with BARS and step level tracking issuesEquipment setup/Recipe adjustments with appropriate training and supportTroubleshoot equipment failures with appropriate training and supportTroubleshoot Data failures (SQCS)Maintain tool certification to support Workcell coverageCommunicate with other Line Technicians, Workflow Coordinators, and Supervisors to maximize overall fab output and equipment utilizationAssist operators of the area to cover for breaks and lunches and absencesDisposition of hold lotsExperience RequiredInternal hire only due to knowledge requirements for this position. Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience with at least 1 year of experience at Broadcom with knowledge of systems and processes; a preference of at least 3 years internal experience is desired.Additional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $21.50 - $26.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.
