Job Description
Position: Cytotechnologist – Marlborough, MA – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While the posted hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, the role allows a flexible start time between 1:00 AM and 11:30 PM, with a required total of 8.5 hours per day.
Pay range: $45.85–$50.29 per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications, as well as market and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
- Microscopically examine and diagnose gynecologic and non‑gynecologic slides for infectious, pre‑malignant, and malignant disease processes.
- Perform all duties required by CLIA, including daily documentation of interpretations (total number of slides screened and hours spent screening).
- Maintain specimen integrity and patient identification of all samples examined.
- Enter and report results into the laboratory information system.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient test results per HIPAA regulations.
- Comply with all local, federal, CLIA and CAP regulations.
- Participate successfully in a CMS‑approved proficiency‑testing program annually, as applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory, physical, or biological science.
- Meet CLIA requirements (CFR ).
- Meet ASCP requirements for Cytotechnologist (if not certified prior to employment, must pass ASCP registry within one year of start date).
- Meet state licensure requirements, if applicable.
- Liquid‑based cytology training/certification (ThinPrep and/or SurePath), preferred.
