We are seeking a Cytotechnologist to join our collaborative Cytology team at our Newark campus.

What You’ll Do
As a Cytotechnologist, you will work closely with Pathologists and laboratory professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information that directly impacts patient care.
Responsibilities
- Examine gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens according to established laboratory protocols
- Perform microscopic evaluation and interpretation of cytologic specimens
- Participate in fine needle aspiration (FNA) adequacy assessment procedures
- Prepare non-gynecologic specimens using smear, cytocentrifugation, and filtration techniques
- Document findings and maintain required workload and regulatory records
- Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents and staining solutions
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities
- Communicate effectively with Pathologists, physicians, nurses, and laboratory colleagues
- Assist with training and mentoring students and new team members
- Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, accreditation, and laboratory safety standards

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or a Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline with Cytotechnology certification program completion
- CT (ASCP) certification preferred
- One year of Cytology experience
- Experience with fine needle aspiration adequacy assessment

Hourly Pay Range: $38.22 - $61.16
