To support a growing oncology team, the full-time remote Cytogenetics Technologist will perform chromosome analysis, including imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens, while utilizing specialized software for FISH analysis. Key responsibilities: Perform analysis of chromosomes, including imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis and summarize test results using ISCN nomenclature Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results, while documenting troubleshooting and corrective actions as needed Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology 3 years of experience in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratory 2 years of experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images 2 years of experience in Oncology cytogenetics
