Cybersecurity Engineer

Ancore is one of the largest independent information technology and business process services firms in the world, and we are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to conduct research, evaluate system configuration data, and provide recommendations to enhance the security posture of network and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements data network security measures; operates Network Intrusion Detection and Forensics; conducts performance analysis of Information Systems security incidents; develops Continuity of Operation (COOP)/Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and supports certification of Information Systems and Networks.
• Detects, analyzes, and mitigates cyber threats.
• Performs network traffic analysis of organizational systems to analyze raw packet data and identify anomalous behavior.
• Identifies gaps in cybersecurity systems and processes to reduce organizational risks.
• Offers innovative cyber defense solutions to protect customer systems.
• Participates in the penetration test lifecycle to understand threats and recommend solutions.
• Recommends industry best practices for the configuration of Networks and Linux and Windows Machines.
• Assists with real‑time CND incident handling (forensic collections, intrusion correlation and tracking, threat analysis, and advising on system remediation) tasks to support onsite engagements.
• Leverages analytical tools such as Splunk and Wireshark to assist in the analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.) and 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with SIEMs, SOAR, EDR platforms.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and delivering a Cybersecurity Plan.
• Excellent research, decision‑making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with others and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with basic professional software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Detail oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
