Class Description
The purpose of this class is to perform administrative andtechnical work in securing and support of the College’s computingand/or network infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree in cybersecurity with a minimum of one-yearexperience in cybersecurity or information technology or aBachelor’s degree in cybersecurity. Experience with securing operating systems, networks, and various applications at anenterprise level required. Cybersecurity certificationspreferred.
Compensation within the posted range is determined bya candidate's education level and/or years of experience in thefield. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of thescale.Class Specific Essential Duties
- Provide planning and implementation of additions, deletions,and major modifications to the college wide information securityinfrastructure.
- Perform vulnerability scans of college systems, reviewvulnerability scan reports, and assist the appropriate stakeholderswith remediating vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Conduct security risk assessments and assist with remediationactivities.
- Investigate and respond to security anomalies discovered duringsystem security logs reviews or reported by collegestakeholders.
- Assist with the development and enforcement of college wideinformation security policies, standards, procedures, andguidelines.
- Perform security analysis to secure the business processes ofthe institution while meeting faculty, student, and administrativeneeds.
- Assist the College community in identifying and remediatingcollege security policy violations.

Position Specific Essential Duties
- Perform periodic risk assessments of data systems and businessprocesses, identify vulnerabilities, determine acceptable levels ofrisk, and identify ways to reduce those risks.
- Respond to security incidents, perform forensic investigations,and coordinate incident resolution and training with endusers.
- Install, configure, and maintain Access Control Lists (ACLs),firewalls, and various security appliances to ensure institutionaldata security.
- Review, test, and recommend new security enhancements toprotect, and monitor college business processes both on premise andin cloud hosted solutions.
- Communicate with and provide training for the College communityon current network and information security processes andprocedures.
- Assist with the implementation of security measures to protectthe College's computer systems, networks, and data.
- Provide technical support for the college’s academiccybersecurity program.

Long-Term Disability
Plan pays 60% of gross monthly salary after 90 consecutive days ofabsence. Employee pays 100% of premium.
