We’re partnering with a well-established, privately held manufacturing company in the western suburbs of Chicago looking for a Cybersecurity & Network Engineer who wants to make a real impact.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll work across cybersecurity, network infrastructure, Microsoft cloud security, vulnerability management, compliance, and OT/manufacturing environments . 🚀 What You’ll Own

• Secure and improve networks, servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
• Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, LAN/WAN, and wireless networks
• Monitor security alerts, vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, and potential incidents
• Support EDR, SIEM, identity security, vulnerability management, Zero Trust, and network segmentation
• Strengthen security across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, SharePoint, MFA, and Conditional Access
• Drive vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts
• Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives involving NIST, CMMC 2.0, and CIS Controls
• Assist with security audits, vendor risk assessments, and customer security requirements
• Partner with IT and Software Development teams to improve application and infrastructure security
• Help protect both traditional IT and operational technology (OT) environments

What We’re Looking For

• 3-5+ years of cybersecurity, network engineering, or IT infrastructure experience
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls
• Hands-on enterprise networking and network-security troubleshooting experience
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, and/or SharePoint
• Understanding of vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and incident response
• Familiarity with NIST, CMMC 2.0, and/or CIS Controls
• Someone comfortable working independently while collaborating across technical and business teams

⭐ Big Plus If You Have

• Cisco, Meraki, SonicWall or similar networking/firewall experience
• Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Intune, CrowdStrike or comparable security tools
• Cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure experience
• Manufacturing, industrial networking, or OT security exposure
• SIEM and vulnerability-scanning experience
• PowerShell, Python, or security automation skills
• Security+, CCNA/CCNP, CISA, Microsoft Azure/Security, or similar certifications

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $120,000-$145,000

Bonus: Eligible for a 10% annual bonus opportunity
