Cybersecurity Project Manager ConsultantThis is a project management role that will be managing cybersecurity projects. This role requires a knowledge of cybersecurity and IT infrastructure concepts and technology to facilitate communication, understanding, analysis, and reporting, ensure risks, issues, and dependencies are defined and tracked, and that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This is not a technical hands-on role; however, prior cybersecurity and IT infrastructure project experience is required to develop a detailed working project plan, correctly track risks, issues, and dependencies, and to ensure success.Essential Accountabilities:Outstanding project management skills and proven ability to manage cybersecurity projects from inception to implementation to ensure delivery within scope, cost, and time constraints; the ability to define project tasks and timelines, identify workstreams and the critical path, create project charters, plans, meeting notes, identify and track risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, develop risk remediation plans, track process against milestones and deadlines, track budget, and publish status reports.Actively manage and report on the critical path to provide a line of sight into risks, issues, and dependencies before they impact the project; escalate risks, issues, and dependencies as needed.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to generate project proposal and overview/status presentations that track schedule, scope, budget, and benefits thru the life cycle of the project, draft user communications, create meaningful status reports.Ability to distill project details into conceptual terms for status reports and management presentations.Knowledge of cybersecurity and IT infrastructure concepts and technology (network, end user compute, service desk, SSO, cloud) to facilitate communication, understanding, analysis, and reporting, ensure risks, issues, and dependencies are defined and tracked.Coordinate across departments as needed to ensure project success.Ability to manage multiple projects and work streams.Other Required Accountabilities:Knowledge of all aspects of information technology, specifically of complex infrastructure environments.Good understanding of standard/accepted infrastructure, change management, and cybersecurity practices, and SDLC (Waterfall, Agile) methodologies and best practices.Hands-on knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask.Excellent negotiation skills.Excellent planning and organization ability.Excellent time management skills.Proactive approach and concern for results.Knowledge & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or comparable work experience.5+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure project management.ITIL training.Experience with building detailed project plans in Smartsheet or MS Project required.Experience with Confluence and OneDrive/SharePoint for team collaboration.Experience with Jira and ServiceNow.Complexity:Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders and teams.Proven ability to drive teams to reduce ambiguity and to facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
