Cyber Security Engineering Architect

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineering Architect to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a great opportunity for a senior security professional to shape enterprise-wide security architecture, bringing technical depth and strategic oversight to a complex, global environment, in a hybrid role based in Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern a resilient security posture across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments
• Provide technical leadership across key security domains, including identity and access management, network and platform security, encryption, logging, and system hardening
• Lead and oversee security risk assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and penetration testing activities
• Translate assessment findings into prioritized remediation plans aligned to business risk and operational impact
• Deploy and manage cloud-native and enterprise security tools to monitor, detect, and remediate threats
• Partner with IT and security teams to ensure architecture decisions support both security and business objectives
• Stay current on evolving threats, security architecture trends, and emerging tools/technologies
• Guide and mentor other security engineers on architecture best practices

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and governing enterprise security architecture across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms
• Strong expertise across identity and access management, network/platform security, encryption, and system hardening
• Experience leading risk assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and penetration testing programs
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, AZ-500, CCSP, CISM)
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risk into business terms
