9 to 5 EST.OverviewA Cyber Security Engineer will have an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cyber security methodologies. Cyber Security Engineers are expected to have a meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.The position requires an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures including Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy and Security Audits. Position must be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, security problems and troubleshooting of the network.

The position will have a very high access profile and must maintain confidentiality of all information at their disposal. This includes SSH keys, PHI data, user credentials and passwords, encryption and decryption keys, credit card data, company emails and financial information.ResponsibilitiesEngineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and informationIdentify and define system security requirements.Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.Work with Cloud Engineers to configure and deploy log capture from all servers that hold PHI or have PHI process through it.Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices such as firewalls, Intrusion detection system, email scanning systems and DB Log serversDevelop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.Perform multiple vulnerability tests per yearAssess and audit security incident management process and make changes as necessary to maintain compliancy.Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancementsParticipate and/or lead annual security audits (SOC1, SOC2, HITrust).Point of contact for all Security Incidents from a technical perspectiveAuthor Reason for Outage (RFO) documents as neededMaintain the highest level of Confidentiality as a highly trusted associate.RequirementsFive to seven years proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security EngineerKnowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methodsExperience in building and maintaining security systemsDetailed technical knowledge of database and operating system securityHands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
