As a tech-driven trading firm, this role will sit within an advanced security team and offers a fantastic opportunity to help strengthen and develop their defensive security capabilities.
The role will be based in their Chicago office and will form part of a global team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and execute the Digital Security Strategy, with a specific emphasis on automation.
- Develop and utilise monitoring tools to protect systems, as well as perform security incident response and remediation when issues arise.
- Own and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the firm.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the firm's security capabilities.
What You’ll Need
- Strong scripting and automation experience, particularly in Python .
- Ideally, some experience in security automation, threat detection, or security engineering . This could also be a great opportunity for someone with strong Python automation experience looking to transition into a more security-focused engineering role.
- A genuine interest in and passion for cybersecurity events, research, and emerging threats.
- A strong engineering mindset, with the ability to understand and solve both complex technical and business problems.
