Position: Travel RN - CVOR Surgical
Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Schedule: Full-Time
Employment Type: Travel Contract
As a CVOR Surgical RN , you'll be an essential member of the cardiovascular operating room team, helping ensure safe, efficient, and exceptional patient care throughout the surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and surgical patients
* Prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures
* Assist with OR preparation, equipment, supplies, and surgical instrumentation
* Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-prevention standards
* Collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team
* Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in clinical condition
* Support patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative safety
* Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to surgical protocols
* Promote a safe and efficient operating room environment
* Participate in preoperative and postoperative care as required
What We're Looking For
* Active RN license in the applicable state
* Current BLS, Acls certification
* Cardiovascular and/or open-heart surgical experience strongly preferred
* Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
* Excellent clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
* Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-acuity surgical environment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced travel assignment
* Commitment to the full 13-week contract
