Job Description: CVICU Nurse
Summary We are seeking a skilled CVICU Nurse for a 13-week contract in New Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular intensive care and be proficient in handling fresh open heart cases.
- Hourly Rate: $42.28
- Weekly Stipend: $ (Includes $483.00 for meals and $826.00 for lodging)

- Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Facility Location: New Brunswick, NJ 08903
- Required Certifications: BLS & ACLS
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the CVICU
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health and post-operative care
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
- 2+ years of acute care experience
- Experience with fresh open heart cases such as CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR
- Familiarity with equipment including Swan, Flotrack, Temp Pacers, Alines, Chest Tubes, Impella, IABP, and CRRT using prismaflex
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Navy blue scrub color
Additional Information
- Travelers will float to all ICUs, PACU & ED for ICU holding patients and all IMC units
- Patient ratio typically 1:2 but up to 1:3
