Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in the heart of Atlanta, is recruiting for Critical Care Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners. PHI’s critical care extenders provide 24‑hour, on‑site coverage to high acuity patients while delivering the best care possible. This is a full‑time position working primarily night shifts.

We are seeking knowledgeable, highly motivated, and dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who have a strong desire to work in a dynamic environment and excel in Cardiovascular Critical Care.

Responsibilities

You will become competent in a multitude of critical procedures and management strategies to include vascular access and line placements, bedside US, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamics, and complex mechanical circulatory support including ECMO and LVADs.

As a cardiovascular critical care APP, you will be part of a collaborative team who provide specialized care for patients pre and post cardiovascular surgery including heart transplantation, patients with advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and other complex multi‑organ problems.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board
• NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience: 3‑5 years experience in the CVICU.
