Customs Entry WriterPosition OverviewAs a customs entry writer, your primary responsibilities are to review import and export documents, ensure that all customs invoices and shipment papers are present, and prepare paperwork for clearance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Use specialized software to track inventorySign brokerage documentsOrganize customs rejectionsAnswer client customs questionsComplete clerical duties and monitor the processing for goods going through customsUtilize benchmarks to procure transportation services at rates that are competitive to CJLMay be required to be on call and work as part of a Saturday rotationEffectively communicate and coordinate with Korean-speaking clients to ensure seamless customs clearance and documentationPerform other related job duties as assigned or requiredRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or a high school diploma/GED1 year of Customs Brokerage ExperienceCompetency in Microsoft Office and Google applications analystExcellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone, and during face to face meetingsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentBilingual skills are essential for this roleAbility to exercise judgment and discretion and function independently, within authorized limitPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in Freight Forwarding, supply chain, or logistics operationsWhat's In It for YouSalary Range: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level and is climate controlled. Location Eligibility This role is based out of the Holland, MI office. Regular, on-site presence is required (4) days per week or as otherwise directed by the company. Schedule Standard office hours at 8:30AM – 5PM Monday through Friday. There may be flexibility regarding start and end times.
