Customer Service Representative

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 100% Onsite
Pay: $18.00-$22.00/hour (Based on Experience)
A leading distributor and supplier in the building products industry is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join its Charlotte team. This position is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with experience in cabinetry, kitchen & bath products, building materials, or related industries are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries, processing orders, and resolving concerns in a timely manner
- Answer incoming calls from customers regarding orders, pricing, and product information
- Prepare and provide sales quotes to customers
- Partner closely with outside sales representatives to support customer accounts, orders, and project needs
- Assist showroom visitors with product questions, recommendations, and order placement
- Identify opportunities to increase sales through product recommendations and complementary offerings
- Research and recommend product solutions for customer projects and field-related challenges
- Maintain accurate customer records and order information
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and follow-through
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience in a distribution, manufacturing, building materials, or related environment preferred
- Knowledge of cabinetry, kitchen & bath products, hardware, or similar building materials is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to take initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- AS400 experience is a plus, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or college education is preferred
