Customer Care Relationship Banker

Hours of operation: Weekdays 12:30p - 9:00p (exact hours determined by management); Saturday rotation 8:00a‑4:00p once a month, with a flex day the following week.

Summary

The Customer Care Relationship Banker connects with customers over the phone to match their needs with First United Bank products and services, mentors employees, handles customer service, sales, and relationship management while meeting or exceeding goals.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls from customers and employees, resolve inquiries.
  • Assist with card services and customer‑facing technologies (online banking, mobile banking, telephone banking).
  • Maintain knowledge of bank products, services, procedures, policies, and regulatory issues.
  • Follow proper procedures for all customer‑servicing activities.
  • Act as single point of contact to retain existing customers and develop new relationships.
  • Meet and exceed performance goals; participate in sales campaigns; promote new products.
  • Participate in meetings, bank functions, customer appreciation/community events.
  • Provide excellent phone service, build rapport, generate loyalty.
  • Identify and match customer product needs by interviewing customers; make referrals to other staff.
  • Open new accounts, certificates of deposit, and other ancillary products; complete paperwork.

Additional Duties

  • Complete required compliance exams yearly.
  • Adhere to all First United policies and procedures.
  • Dress professionally.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Employee Specifications

Education: High School Diploma required; some college strongly preferred.

Experience: One year of retail or equivalent customer service experience preferred.
