Custodian

POSITION: Custodian
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS (include but not limited to the following):
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of custodial practices.
- Skill in operating cleaning and other equipment, and their procedures
- Familiarity with and ability to utilize hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with the proper use of chemicals.
- Ability to work on ladders or elevated platforms not to exceed 10' in height.
- Ability to engage others with understanding and empathy.
- Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
- Routinely able to lift 50 lbs.
DUTIES (include but not limited to the following):
- Housekeeping, custodial care and cleaning of building
- Maintenance of grounds
- General maintenance of building
- Electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance
- Report need for equipment or physical plant repairs.
- Check stock, supplies and keep record as needed.
- Perform other duties as described in the position description
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
WORK DAYS/HOURS: Monday – Friday 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m
SALARY: As Per Schedule
In addition to the requirements listed above, the following qualifications shall be considered in evaluating an applicant for possible employment for this position: an applicant's varied work-experience; one's training and/or education; and, one's adaptability to work with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities. Maintain valid driver's license in state of residence and maintain a clean driving abstract.
