Perform routine cleaning and help with the setup of school activities at the high school.

Starting Wage: $18.35 (Negotiable if prior experience)

Coordinates with:
Required experience and training: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of related experience. Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Knowledge of cleaning and willingness to learn.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions.
- Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks.
- Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
Desired experience and training: Some physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; light lifting, pushing or pulling of objects over 50 lbs.
Special Requirements of the Position: The candidate must have a valid Nebraska driver's license. The candidate must provide information that would assist in the development of a comprehensive criminal history check.
Position Responsibilities:
- Scheduled cleaning of classrooms, hallways, and restrooms.
- Picks up and disposes of litter.
- Cleans floors and other common areas in the school.
- Helps to set up activities.
- Picks up trash on a regular schedule, and disposes of it.
- Ensures the proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
