After training - Monday-Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday, daytime hours with flexibility that Saturday hours may be changed as needed to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Anticipated Start Date: Immediate opening.
Salary & Benefits: In accordance with support staff collective bargaining agreement. Starting salary $20.33/hour plus $2.00/hour shift differential. Comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies
Head of School and/or the Lead Night Custodian
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Cleans and monitors designated spaces and equipment in the building, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping and waxing floors; rubbish removal
- Cleans and disinfects bathroom sinks, toilets and urinals, mirrors
- Check hand soap, paper towel, & tissue supplies
- Cleans classroom sinks/faucets
- Replaces light bulbs as needed
- Unlocks and locks premises, secures windows and activates/deactivates the alarm systems
- Cleans and maintains custodial equipment daily after each use
- Helps in unloading of freight as needed with delivery to specified areas
- Moves classroom furniture as needed
- Frequent walking, bending, twisting and lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. such as cleaning supplies, pails and unloading trucks
- Continuous use of hand strength to grasp tools and cleaning equipment and climb on ladders
- Push/pull items such as tables, bleachers, and/or cleaning equipment
- A formal letter of application addressed to Dr. Mario Almeida, Head of School/Assistant Superintendent
