Custodian (Full-time, 12-month position)Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 7:00 PM (depending on length of lunch) Pay Rate: $15.50/hourState Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for full-time, non-exempt, and benefit eligible Custodian position for the Facilities department. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and light upkeep of college buildings and facilities.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dustingEmpty trash and recycling, both indoors and outdoorsClean and disinfect restrooms and high-touch surfacesRestock paper products and soap dispensersClean interior and entryway glassBuff, strip, and wax floors as neededPerform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing batteries in sensors, fixtures, etc.)Monitor and restock custodial suppliesSupport setup/tear-down for campus eventsSupervise and provide guidance to student workersAssist with groundskeeping and snow removal as neededSecure buildings by checking and locking doorsPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least 6 months to 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience preferredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving and time management skillsBasic written and verbal communication skillsAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructionsMust possess a valid driver's licensePost-secondary coursework or vocational training is a plusState Technical College of Missouri is an Equal Opportunity, Equal Employment Opportunity organization and does not discriminate against any protected class in our educational programs, activities, or employment opportunity.
