Job Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, hallways, offices, and other areas.
- Empty trash throughout the building.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and counters.
- Dust furniture, shelves, and other surfaces.
- Wash windows and mirrors.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the cafeteria and kitchen areas.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
- Safety and Security:
- Ensure that all doors and windows are locked and secured at the end of the day.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in setting up and taking down for school events.
- Monitor and maintain the school grounds, including snow removal and salting in winter.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with moving furniture and equipment as needed.
- Follow all school district policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Skills: Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for long periods, and bend and stoop frequently.
- Other: Must be able to pass a background check.
- This position is full-time.
- Hours may vary depending on the school district's needs.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required.
