Onsite Full Time Building and Grounds Cleaning and Maintenance Occupations
Custodial Position

To perform a full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Performs custodial duties to include cleaning and sanitizing facilities and fixtures as per checklist provided by department manager; replenishing supplies in restrooms, examining rooms, break rooms; and identifying and reporting building maintenance and repairs needed in assigned buildings and facilities.
  • Safeguards Center's property, including, but not limited to, equipment, office supplies, tools, etc., performing daily inspection of the building for safety, cleanliness, hazards, etc., to include floors and furnishings.
  • Responds to Center's emergency response systems.
  • Performs maintenance duties as needed or requested.
  • Provides excellent internal/external customer service.
  • Prepares rooms for conferences and meetings ensuring meeting room is clean and appropriately set up; cleaning after.
  • Performs grounds keeping duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job qualifications include one to two years experience as a custodial person, preferred. Formal or informal training which ensures the ability to read and write for successful job performance. Scheduled hours and/or work locations are subject to change.

Physical and mental activities and requirements include finger dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, visual acuity, physical activities such as walking, standing for extended periods of time, climbing stairs/ladders; crouching or crawling during custodial maintenance activities. May have to lift, pull, push heavy equipment, and other such items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
