Custodian IIIStarts: August -Month Position; Monday - Friday; 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Salary: $23.01/hour Hiring for 2 positions Vacation/Sick Leave; PERS RetirementGeneral Duties: Performs as working supervisor of a custodial operationSupervision Received: Works under the general supervision of an administratorSupervision Exercised: Exercises supervision over custodial personnelPre-employment physicals are required for this position and paid for by the District.Examples of Duties:Collects and disposes of garbageSweeps and dust mops roomsCleans, repairs, changes filters and other equipment under the supervision of head custodianStripping and scrubbing of floorsFinishing and refinishing all types of floorsGrounds care and irrigationDusting rooms and furniture, wet moppingCleaning sinksWashing wallsCleaning lightsMoving furniture, supplies, books, etcCleaning woodwork, cleaning school groundsReplacing light tubes and bulbsWashing interior and exterior glassPest control, painting floorsWashing exterior of the buildingHousekeeping equipment careShovel snowBuff floorsCleans bathrooms dailyAssists head custodians in boiler operation and other like duties as requiredReports to head custodians any damage, malfunctions of equipment, and any other information needed by head custodianActs as a substitute for head custodianPerforms duties and related tasks in a safe and responsible manner in compliance with the Billings Public Schools safety policies and in compliance with the Montana Safety Culture Act.
