Custodian Position
Under the direction and supervision of the Custodian Supervisor, the Custodian (or substitute custodian) cleans and prepares school facilities for use.
General Duties:
- Pick up trash and empty trash containers as appropriate and assigned.
- Sweep, vacuum, or mop floors or sidewalks as appropriate.
- Clean sinks, bathrooms, and other plumbing facilities as appropriate.
- Clean windows, walls, chalkboards, furniture, and equipment as assigned.
- Assist with moving furniture and equipment as assigned.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs as assigned, including replacing burned out lights.
- Assist with maintenance projects as assigned.
- Stock and deliver school supplies as assigned.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning tasks and related materials.
- Must be able to lift 104 pounds occasionally, 60 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.

- Flexible work hours
- Drive forklift or willing to be trained
- Ability to climb ladders
- Repair equipment when needed
- Current Driver's License
- DOJ and FBI Background Clearances (at time of hire)
- TB (tuberculin) clearance (at time of hire)
- Completion of district mandated training (within 30 days of hire)
- Successfully complete related WorkSteps physical (if applicable, at time of hire)
