Theatre CustodianThe Custodian performs janitorial duties that involve cleaning and sanitizing the building and its grounds under management's direction. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential. Work may involve a variety of physical demands. Must be 18 years old or older.
This is a key holder position.Primary Responsibilities:Service, clean, and supply restrooms with appropriate cleaning solutionsVacuuming, and sweeping of carpeted areas; mopping of all hard surface areasEmpty all garbage receptacles and clean out these receptaclesReplace air freshener cartridges and urinal blocks as neededPick up large trash items and sweep up all small debrisWipe down seat backs on a rotational basisWipe down drinking fountains and benchesRemove gum and any other sticky matterKeep dumpster area neat and orderly; dumpster lid and surrounding gates should be closed (locked if required)Maintain janitorial closets in a clean, organized and safe mannerMaintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable conditionAdditional Responsibilities:Stay in constant communication with management at all times regarding shortages on supplies and questionsOther routine maintenance duties as assignedNotify management of any potential safety hazardsBenefits: Free Movies and Game Play, Discounted Concessions Items, 401(k), Flexible Schedules, Employee Discounts, Health Insurance including Dental, Vision, Life, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospitalization.Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Ability to read and interpret documents such as; operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn. Knowledge of vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing.Working Conditions:The work for this position is performed inside the movie theatre, sometimes around theatre customers and other employees.
The position requires routine walking, standing, bending, twisting and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. The employee must be aware that chemicals are often used in this position. This position requires availability some days, mostly evenings and late nights, weekends and holidays.
