Custodian
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the positions, including lifting, bending, standing, and operating custodial equipment
Reports to: Maintenance Director
Job Goal: Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and visitors. Perform routine custodial and general duties to support the efficient operation of district facilities and the educational environment.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Cleans and maintains assigned areas, including classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and other school facilities.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, and maintain floors and other surfaces as needed.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, drinking fountains, fixtures, and other high-use areas
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of properly
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up for school activities, meetings, and special events
- Properly use and store custodial supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment in accordance with established safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
