Custodian
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Custodians for a logistics/warehouse company in Elk River, MN. In this role, you’ll be responsible for sanitizing and ensuring cleanliness of the facility/equipment. What You'll Do as a Custodian:
- Actively engages in communication and asks questions as needed
- Empty waste containers liners throughout the facility to ensure containers are free and ready to use
- Refill supplies as needed throughout the production area
- Practices personal safety and respect equipment
- Understands how to complete all paperwork
- Knows Redzone and communicates with other shifts/departments/managers several times during a shift
- Understands different types of cleans (water to water, water to cream, etc.)
- Actively engages in communication with Maintenance and asks questions as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with other members of the production team to meet production goals
What You Need to Bring to the Custodian Role:
- Working knowledge of food safety, personal hygiene, and the proper use of GMP apparel.
- Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, including mixers, blenders, and scales
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and stand for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
