Custodian
Tuesday - Friday: 11:00 am - 7:30 pm Saturday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Internal bids thru 8/24/26 @ 4:00 PM. External applicants (we will hire externally if no successful internal bidder): Open until filled. New hire: Entry level rate $18.17/hr. Current employees with seniority in the bargaining unit, please refer to the salary schedule established by the bargaining unit.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clean/sanitize desk/table tops, door handles, restroom fixtures
- Cleans glass
- Dusts horizontal surfaces, clocks, overhead screens, and blinds
- Wet mopping of floors, spot cleaning of carpets and hard flooring
- Assists with deep cleaning during break periods stripping, scrub & recoat, carpet extraction, cleaning restrooms, glass, and furniture
- Trash removal
- Removes snow
- Minor grounds keeping
- Lawn mowing
- Assists with delivery of supplies
- Properly maintains equipment
- Reports maintenance issues to Head and Lead custodians
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Cleans restrooms
- Must work days during summer
Physical Requirements of Position:
- Ability to lift & carry up to 56 lb.
- Ability to climb up to an 8-ft ladder and perform custodial task ie; cleaning light fixture.
- Ability to climb steps and work on uneven ground
