As a Custodian, you'll play an essential role in maintaining school spaces that are clean, functional, safe, and ready for students and staff each day.Full-time, 40-hour-per-week position12-month employmentConsistent Monday–Friday scheduleSupportive and team-oriented work environmentWork that directly contributes to a safe and welcoming school communityOpportunities to develop facilities and building-maintenance skillsMake a visible impact every dayPerform daily cleaning and custodial duties throughout classrooms, offices, hallways, common areas, and other school spacesClean and maintain windows, furniture, walls, floors, fixtures, and other surfacesOperate and maintain floor-care equipment, including equipment used for stripping, sealing, finishing, and polishing floorsIdentify cleaning and maintenance concerns and take appropriate action or report issues as neededHelp maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming school environmentMonitor the security of school buildings and grounds, including ensuring doors and windows are properly securedInspect and monitor electrical appliances and equipment for potential safety hazardsFollow established operational procedures, safety requirements, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipmentWork collaboratively with the Custodian Team Lead, Facilities team, school staff, and administrationAssist with additional custodial and facilities-related needs as assignedHigh school diploma or GED requiredKnowledge of general cleaning methods, equipment, and proceduresAbility to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructionsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailUnderstanding of workplace hazards and appropriate safety precautionsStrong reliability, punctuality, and attendanceAbility to communicate and work effectively with school staffPrevious custodial, janitorial, facilities, or commercial cleaning experience preferredThis is an active, hands-on position.
