Maintenance Custodian
FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
Skilled in the maintenance of school district building facilities, equipment, and grounds relative to caring, cleaning, repairing, and replacing
Reports To: Building Evaluator or designee
Supervises: None
Job Goal: To be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all assigned areas of the site building plant, facilities, grounds, and equipment
Term: Twelve (12) months
Salary: Custodian Salary Schedule-NIV
Performance Responsibilities:
- Complete maintenance activities of building facilities, equipment, and grounds as directed by head custodian, building evaluator, or custodial supervisor.
- Follow state, school board, and school policies relative to the safety and security of buildings, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain and/or prepare equipment and supplies as necessary for various

- Submit requests for janitorial materials, supplies, equipment as needed
- Work cooperatively with other custodial staff, head custodian, building evaluator, custodial supervisor, and other school district personnel as necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Adhere to schedule for routine and special tasks as approved by the building evaluator and head
- Attend in-service training as required by the custodial supervisor and/or building evaluator
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the custodial supervisor and/or building evaluator
- Follow federal, state, and Rapides Parish School District policies
